When should your child first visit the dentist? It may be sooner than you think! The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children see a dentist at the sign of a first tooth or by age one, whichever comes first. Call for an appointment today for your baby’s first dental visit. Know someone looking for a dentist their children will love? Share this post!

Primary teeth, or baby teeth, are as important to infants and children as permanent teeth are to older children and adults. Children need them when learning to speak and chew properly, and they’re important to a child’s overall self-image and confidence. Baby teeth also serve as “guides” for the proper eruption of permanent teeth. So, don’t forget to brush those baby teeth for two minutes, two times every day!

This kiddo came in and was so proud of this filled out sticker chart! He was rewarded for bringing it in with extra prizes, and balloons! If your family ever needs something like this to support building a brushing routine at home, you can come in and we will give you one.

Some adults and kids like to brush or scrape their tongues as part of their daily dental routine. It can be a great way to go the extra mile for your mouth and may help keep your tongue clean and your breath fresh. However, don`t forget that it`s most important to brush for 2 minutes, 2 times every day and to floss at least once a day. And don`t forget to see us regularly!
